Almond Cake

This innocent looking thing caught my eye since I'm a huge fan of Italian desserts and now anything with almonds.  I have many recipes calling for "almond paste" and figured I was not going to be happy until I found it and tried using it.  Wow! Imagine a big fluffy Almond Biscotti.  Not too sweet and rich almond taste.  This recipe calls for a cup of all purpose flour and a half cup of corn meal.  That was interesting enough that I had to do it.  I'm glad I did!
